The Workshop
Metaphoric Tools
is an artistic workshop where we create instruments dedicated to recognizing and deepening relationship with Oneself through music and sound vibration. It is the fruit of our love for beauty and our passion for creating and sharing that which brings the light of inspiration into our lives. Sound and Music transcend language and have the ability to touch the essence of existence itself. We create:
- Chadagans (zithers), Medicine Drums, Native American Love Flutes, and Ceremonial Rattles
- We initiate transformative workshops during which participants give life to their own drums and rattles
- In collaboration with the Garden of Creation Foundation, we organize Medicine Song Circles, Harmonizing Concerts and Music Temple
- we work individually i one on one sessions
As everything is vibration, we work with sound to tune into and regain the original tuning of the instrument that each of Us is. This way we enliven our wonderment for the mystery. To be in tune with the Great Orchestra of Life and this beautiful Earth.
Our Values
Coming from a place of holistic perception of the world, we recognize being a part of the circle of life. Therefore, the values we cultivate while creating instruments are:
Enthusiasm
creating from a place of being inspired and fulfilled by what we do (the meaning of this word is to be inspired by the divine)
Efficiency
acting with respect and care for the resources we use, finding the simplest and easiest ways to accomplish our work
Talent
utilizing our unique resources and individual colors in the way we work to make each instrument and encounter exceptional
Flexibility
holistic approach to work means that the way we work and what we learn can be transferred and applied to any other sphere of life
Work Ethics
In the process of creation, we work with natural materials such as animal hide, wood, metal, and semi-precious stones. At every stage, we take care to use materials ethically and from local sources. Ethical resource management is rooted in respect for animals, trees, stones, and other materials. It comes from recognizing them as living beings and our personal relationship with nature, of which we are an integral part. No animals are killed for the purpose of obtaining skin for instruments. Skins are reclaimed, thus preventing their disposal. Wood is personally harvested or sourced from sustainable production. In this way, by creating art objects and tools for transformation and growth, we honor the lives of these beautiful beings.
Reciprocity
We receive vast resources of inspiration from the custodians of ancient wisdom - the people of the forests, the people of the mountains, from plants, and nature. As an act of reciprocity and redistribution of the resources of this world, the studio supports several initiatives for the protection and restoration of nature, as well as the education and protection of the ethnic cultures of the Amazon rainforests through donations to the following projects:
Pachcamama Alliance
Osoba Odra
